North Harbor Docks
Funded by a Department of Boating and Waterways' loan, this project replaced slips and docks located in north Santa Cruz Harbor.The former concrete dock system sustained heavy damage in the 1989 earthquake. Harbor crews reconstructed docks, utilizing a environmentally sensitive "green" products for the decking and flotation. The docks also feature upgraded power centers.

Joseph G. Townsend Maritime Plaza
Joe Townsend was a charismatic Port Commissioner for over 25 years. His contributions to the harbor were extensive and far reaching. The Port District honored Joe with this unique circular plaza with original art work and compass rose, all funded by public donations. The plaza was dedicated September 7, 2001. Come view the sunset from this beautiful plaza.
Yvonne Setzer Rolfe Beach Plaza
Set on the beach with sweeping views of the harbor, the bay, two lighthouses and the wharf, the Yvonne Setzer Rolfe plaza enriches the lives of the thousands that visit each week.
The half-million dollar jewel in front of the multi-tenant building at 2222 East Cliff Drive was constructed entirely from donations and features murals and mosaics and friendly art work. Come and stay a while, enjoy meals and refreshments, and the ever-changing, ever interesting seascape.
Dedicated on August 23, 2001, the Walton lighthouse was the brain child of Bill Simpkins and the gift of hundreds of donors, including Charles Walton in memory of his brother Derek Walton. Designed by Mark Mesiti-Miller, the lighthouse is perfectly scaled and set on the west jetty, and has become an iconic part of the Santa Cruz shore.
