Night Sailboat Races |
April to October |
From April to October, each Wednesday
night local sailors get out during the early evening to compete and have
fun, with the emphasis on 'fun.' Join in on the Chardonnay
II, Pacific Yachting, or view
the race from Park Place Excursions' charter vessel

This is an event that packs the harbor with visitor spectators. The harbor's
restaurants and beach are especially good viewing areas. Bring your camera
or video camera, and beach blanket, and spend a delightful evening watching
the sails parade in their full glory against the setting sun. 5:30 pm |

Walk, jog, or bike the popular and
educational two-mile path around the harbor. Twelve colorful interpretive
stations are placed along the way to inform you on subjects such as fishing,
the environment, and harbor wildlife, local history, and nautical facts.

the whales! Climb aboard one of the many comfortable boats offering this

Hike the Circle Trail, part of the
county-wide system of wilderness and open-space trails. Trail starts on
the west side of the harbor and travels through Arana Gulch. |

and take the water taxi throughout the harbor.
