COVID-19 Updates

To prevent the spread of COVID-19, and in accordance with all Orders issued by the County of Santa Cruz Health Officer and new regional guidelines established by the State of California, a regional “stay at home” order goes into effect at 11:59 PM on Thursday, December 17, 2020. Accordingly, the Port District will implement the following measures for a three-week period, unless otherwise extended or modified.

In an effort to limit public interaction to slow the transmission of COVID-19, the harbor office is open on a modified basis for the purposes of conducting essential business only. Please knock for assistance if you visiting the office to:

  • Execute a Slip License Agreement
  • Register for Visitor Berthing
  • Resolve an Electronic Key Fob Issue
  • Purchase an Annual Launch Ramp Pass
  • Make a Cash Payment

All launch activity must comply with shelter-in-place orders issued by the Santa Cruz County Health Officer and all measures put in place to ensure social distancing, including:

  • No congregating. Launchers must maintain 6′ distance from others
  • Wear a mask at all times during launch and retrieval and while in the parking lot

Services are limited to meet shelter-in-place requirements:

  • Only one vessel allowed to launch at a time
  • No shuttle service to/from remote parking. Launchers parking at 7th and Brommer must walk or arrange their own transportation to and from the ramp
  • Utilize self-pay options to pay day launch fees including: self-pay stations in launch parking area; pay by check with launch tag (drop in the harbor office mail slot or mail in within 10 days of launch)
