Temporary, Seasonal Position

Santa Cruz Harbor is seeking to hire Dredge Monitors for the upcoming 2023-24 dredging season.

Under basic supervision, performs dredge monitoring on the beach during dredging
operations. Monitors provide for the safety of beach visitors and dredge crewmembers,
provide information to the general public about the dredging operation, conduct air
monitoring, and record written observations about the dredge disposal operation. Requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work outdoors on the beach. The typical schedule runs from November 2023, through April 2024, Mondays - Thursdays, 7 am to 4 pm. Candidates must possess a valid California driver’s license and be insurable for the operation of Port District vehicles.

Hourly pay rates range from $15.50 to $18.00/hour. Positions will remain open until filled.
