It shall be the policy of the Santa Cruz Port Commission to conduct its business in an open and transparent manner by:
Conducting the public’s business in open and publicized meetings, except for the limited circumstances under which the law allows closed sessions, and ad hoc meetings in accordance with California Government Code Sections 54950 - 54962, as amended (known as the Ralph M. Brown Act); and,
Allowing and encouraging the public to actively participate in meetings; and,
Allowing public inspection of documents and records generated by the Port District as defined by the California Government Code Sections 6250 – 6270.5, as amended (known as the California Public Records Act), except when non-disclosure is specifically authorized by law.
Santa Cruz Port District is fully committed to providing accessible facilities, elements and
channels of communication to all members of the public. As part of this commitment, Santa Cruz Port District
has a policy of providing an accessible website compatible with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1) and
commercial screen reading software. All features of the website are coded to allow individuals with vision and
other impairments to understand and use the website to the same degree as someone without disabilities. We welcome
