NOTICE OF VACANCY ON SANTA CRUZ PORT COMMISSION

Interested persons are hereby notified that pursuant to Government Code Section 1780 there is a vacancy on the Santa Cruz Port District Commission.

  • The position to be filled is for a term ending December 7, 2020. The seat will go to election in November 2020 for the final two years of the term.

The vacancy will be filled by appointment by the Santa Cruz Port District Commission (as prescribed by state law). To be considered for appointment, interested citizens, who are registered voters within the Santa Cruz Port District boundary, must file an application along with a resume to the Santa Cruz Port District Commission, 135 5th Avenue, Santa Cruz, CA 95062, by no later than 5:00 PM, Monday, December 9, 2019.

Appointment will be made by remaining members of the Port Commission at a special public meeting to be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at 7:00 pm, at the Harbor Public Meeting Room, 365-A Lake Avenue, Santa Cruz.
