A free marine flare collection event is taking place for county boaters at the Santa Cruz Harbor.
When: Sunday, October 25, 2026, 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Where: 425 Brommer Street, Santa Cruz, CA 95062 (Harbor Maintenance Yard - North Harbor)
What: Safely dispose of your expired marine flares .
Who: Recreational boaters living in or berthing in Santa Cruz County (proof of residence or slip fee required).
Single-use marine flares are hazardous waste and should not be thrown in the trash or waterways. Take advantage of this safe, free disposal opportunity!
