BID PROPOSALS SOUGHT FOR SANTA CRUZ HARBOR LAUNCH RAMP SINKHOLE REPAIR PROJECT (PHASE 1)
The Santa Cruz Port District invites qualified contractors to submit sealed bid proposals for the Santa Cruz Harbor Launch Ramp Sinkhole Repair Project – Phase 1. The Phase 1 work consists, in general, of demolition of existing facilities as necessary to access the sinkhole, placement of controlled low strength material (CLSM) to fill and stabilize the void, and construction of a below-grade cutoff to prevent future scour and erosion. The below-grade cutoff shall be constructed using low-mobility grout, injected in a controlled manner and under controlled pressure to form a continuous hardened barrier. Following stabilization, work includes reconstruction of the concrete slab-on-grade approach apron, restoration of adjacent asphalt paving, and restoration of affected utilities. Work shall be performed in accordance with all regulatory permits. Performance of this work requires a valid California Contractor’s License Class A (General Engineering). Project documents and copies of the prevailing rate of wages can be obtained from the Santa Cruz Port District, 135 Fifth Avenue, Santa Cruz, CA.
MANDATORY PRE-BID CONFERENCE - SEPTEMBER 10, 2025
A mandatory pre-bid conference has been scheduled for 10 AM on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Harbor Office, 135 5th Avenue, Santa Cruz, California, 95062.
BID OPENING - SEPTEMBER 22, 2025
Sealed bid proposals will be received at the Santa Cruz Harbor office until 10 AM on Monday, September 22, 2025, at which time they will be opened and publicly read.
